In the unlikely event you are not satisfied with your purchase we are happy to offer an exchange or credit on items purchased directly through our website, as long as we receive the item back unworn and undamaged. You can choose to use your credit towards another piece from our website or to commission a new bespoke item. Credit will last for 12 months from issuing. Shipping (outward and return) and customs and duties that have been covered by Shimell and Madden on your original purchase will be deducted from your credit, this amount will be dependent on where the item was shipped.
Please note we do not offer refunds for items which are not faulty.
Bespoke or customised items are not eligible for exchange.

Refunds and exchange
We only offer a refund on items if they are faulty and we have been notified within 7 days of receiving your order, please email emma@shimellandmadden.com. Once we have been notified we will arrange for collection of your item. After receiving and inspecting your item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund or exchange. We reserve the right to judge whether an item is faulty rather than mistreated. If you are approved, we can either make a new replacement item or process a refund. For a refund the credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment. If the item has been damaged rather than faulty we will send the item back to you once payment for the shipping has been settled, you will also be responsible for any additional taxes and duties incurred.
