Modernising an engagement ring
Because we make everything by hand-fabricating using raw materials we can rework metal and reuse gemstones.
This project was to remake an engagement ring where the existing ring's style had gone out of favour, and our client wanted us to create our Split Solo Ring design. We melted the gold down and then reworked it into the wire to create the design. It is a labour intensive process, but this traditional way of working hardens the gold and makes it stronger and more durable, compared to casting for example.
