For example, in this reworking project, we updated an existing ring by crafting our signature Solo Split Ring design. Using the original metal, we melted it down and reshaped it into the wire that forms the distinctive double band and the setting for the diamond.
After unsetting the diamond the metal is then melted into an ingot shape.
The gold is transformed from blob into round wire through several stages of milling and drawing.
The two bands are formed from the wire along with the spacers and the setting. Then the structure is soldered together in stages, first the spacers on one of the bands.
After the construction of the metalwork is completed the polished surface finish is applied and the diamond reset.
